Happy New Year!

If anyone is still reading, I'll quickly update you on what's been going on with us. Since September we have gone on one more vacation for Jaxon's birthday. We went to the new indoor waterpark resort in TN and he had a blast! We were there for Halloween too, so that was fun. I got sick at the end and we wasted a day trying to find a doctor, but we had fun. Both kids are really growing. Jaxon turned 5, Macey turned 1. Macey is running around everywhere now, but I think she is going to be my laid back child. She is pretty easy going, just taking it all in. If you've met Jaxon, he's definitely not easy going, but he's got a lot of spunk and I'm glad for that too. We had a wonderful Christmas, busy but good. Those are the pics I will attach. Maybe when I have time soon I will post some pics from the kids birthdays. I know its not long, but we're doing good and still kicking... :).

No beach trip for us

It is almost midnight and I'm not even sure why I'm still up. I can barely keep my eyes open but I can't make myself get up yet and go to bed. So a quick update... Macey got sick Wednesday afternoon so we had to cancel our beach trip this past weekend. I took her to after hours care, hoping to knock it out faster so we could still go on Friday. She had a fever of 102 when we got there, and it got up to 103.5 while we were still there. Her ears were fine and she didn't have the flu, so the only thing we could do was treat the fever. By Saturday midday she was doing much better and we could finally stop alternating Tylenol and Motrin. Last night she slept in her bed all night again, so that was another sign she is feeling much better. A lady I work with went to the beach this weekend and said it rained pretty much all weekend, so I was kinda glad to hear that we didn't miss too much. I still hated we had to cancel though. But of course, I'm glad my sweet Macey is feeling better. Well, I'm going to bed... thanks for reading and maybe I'll find the time again soon to update again.

Weekend beach trip

We were blessed this past weekend and got to take a last minute trip to the beach, free of charge! It was Macey's first time to see the beach and she loved it! Unlike her brother when he was little, she reached right for the sand and tried to eat it. This was also the longest that Jaxon has probably gotten to actually stay on the beach and play (Brandon is not a fan of the sand). But I was really proud of Brandon for trying and sitting down and building sand castles with Jaxon. It was a lot of fun to watch. He might have been inwardly griping, but at least he held it in. We go back to the beach next weekend (a trip that was already planned), so I'm looking forward to taking more pictures. We are taking some friends with us, so I should have some of all 4 of us on the beach. I can't wait!

No time...

I have been a bad blogger lately. I was so good when I started at updating every week, but I have gotten busy and lazy. When I have time to do it, I just don't feel like getting on the computer. But things are going great with us. Macey is crawling, pulling up, just moving around so much more. Jaxon has started 4K and is doing great. I have a lot to update on so I will try to take the time to do that in the next few days. I hope everyone is doing well.

Lazy Saturday

I just love Saturdays! Jaxon is watching Scooby Doo, Brandon and Macey are dozing in the recliner. It was busy and loud about an hour ago, but its so quiet and peaceful now. Not sure how long it will last, but I'm enjoying it for a few minute anyway. I'm sitting here hoping the rain will hold off or not come at all. The sun keeps coming in and out. We are waiting on my sister to finish her nap (she worked night shift at the hospital) and we are going to try and go swimming at a local pool. The summer is almost over and we've found that things keep happening and we haven't gottten to take all the kids out together. Hopefully it will work out that we can today.

There isn't really a lot to update. About 10 days ago I had walking pneumonia so we weren't really getting out and doing much. I worked from home a couple days and just kinda took it easy... as much as I could anyway. It was weird though, I got in a cleaning mood while I was sick (which hardly ever happens)!! I cleared a lot of stuff out of our bedroom and rearranged some things so we could move the play pen in our room for Macey. Now that she's crawling we have to put her in something more secure while we get ready for work in the morning. Sometimes she has been fine in it, but mostly she whines and wants us to hold her. So needless to say, its getting harder to get ready in the morning. But of course, that's just part of having kids.

Macey, my little crawler...

I had a great little video that I was going to post of Macey crawling last week. But I guess our connection isn't good enough and it wouldn't work. I wanted so bad to show all of you my little crawler!!! I had an even better one that she crawled a lot farther on, but it was over the limit so it definitely wouldn't upload. We don't have to try to persuade her to go after something anymore to see her crawl... if she wants it she goes after it. Of course its fun seeing her accomplish new milestones, but I also know it will change everything. But I'm going to look at it positive and just be excited she's more independent. Jaxon seems to be enjoying it too, but we're having to really try to teach him he can't leave just anything in the floor. I've already tried to be doing that, so lets just pray it sinks in.

I'm trying to think of other things we have been up to since I last posted. Oh, Jaxon went bowling for the first time. He had a little trouble, but seemed to have a lot of fun. It was fun watching. We went to a friends birthday part so it was cosmic bowling, which by the way, he thinks is the only way bowling works. It was fun though. Below are also some more recent pics.
